McKee, Ltd: in 1962 to Elizabeth \"Bettine\" and Arthur Edward Eddenden. Arthur Eddenden was born in Hamilton, Ontario and has lived in Burlington, Ontario with his wife since the mid-1950s. For thirty years he worked as an artist and graphic designer, first as Art Director for a Toronto advertising agency and later as a freelancer. His first book, A Good Year for Murder (1988) introduced Inspector Tretheway, a physically towering figure inspired by a well-known Hamilton cop of the 30's and 40's, Fred Eddenden, his father.
