The two cities worked together to design parks to reflect one another's culture. Park features: 1. Playground-which features the colour orange, the colour of the Dutch royal family and of national pride in the Netherlands 2. The Park benches, bike racks and receptacles featuring a tulip design to honor the most popular flower of the Netherlands. 3. Large raised planter showcasing a Tulip called ÔÇ£Tulip ApeldoornÔÇØ, named after Apeldoorn and donated by Burlington residents Arnold and Ann Koopman, who were liberated by Canadian troops in Apeldoorn in 1945.
