They donated land for the building of St Matthew's (on the Plains) Anglican Church in 1861. The property was sold to John Read in 1871, and is illustrated as the \"residence of Reid Bros., Aldershot\" in Martha Craig's \"The Garden of Canada\" (1902). Sold in 1943 to the Webers, who lived there until the mid 1960s.
