Dearing. The 1 July 1908 Gazette Documented that \"The many friends of Mr S. A. Dearing, foreman at Nicholson's lumber yard, will regret to learn that he is ill with diphtheria ... Diphtheria cases still continue to develop in that locality, and the authorities should lose no further time, but should investigate, and if possible, locate the cause of the trouble.\" He survived and lived with his wife Susannah and daughter Jennie in this house. His daughter later married Herbert Allen, a nephew of Allan S. Nicholson. The property was sold in 1929 to Charle and Margaret Coates. Charles Coates was confined by arthritis to a wheel chair, but did wood-working. In the 1940s, when several large Acacia trees (planted a century earlier by Canon Greene's wife Kate) were felled in St Luke's Church Avenue, Mr Coates made platters of the wood for some parishioners."},{"label":"Contributor","value":"Chris Bryan"},{"label":"Creator","value":"Chris Bryan"},{"label":"Date","value":"Aug-08"},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:08 M:01 Y:2008"},{"label":"Title","value":"1280 Ontario Street, 2008"},{"label":"Repository","value":["Burlington Historical Society"]}],"description":"1280 Ontario Street, 2008","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/43c2a51a-53c5-489a-8f25-c7800cbe20e2/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"1280 Ontario Street, 2008","height":1200,"width":1600,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/43c2a51a-53c5-489a-8f25-c7800cbe20e2/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/43c2a51a-53c5-489a-8f25-c7800cbe20e2","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1200,"width":1600},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/43c2a51a-53c5-489a-8f25-c7800cbe20e2/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/43c2a51a-53c5-489a-8f25-c7800cbe20e2/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/43c2a51a-53c5-489a-8f25-c7800cbe20e2/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/logo"}
