The Burlington Historical Society plaque is to the left of the front door.,The Chisholm family owned the home until 1975. Charles Chisholm, a carpenter, was a well-known fiddler who travelled in the horse and buggy to play for Saturday night dances in the area. In 1928 the property ownership passed to his sons, David and Norman. In the 1930s David brought his bride Lily Jones to live here. The upstairs bathroom and modern kitchen were added then. David worked in the Waterworks department of the Town of Burlington. Norman, a bachelor, lived in the house until his death. He had a great love of horses and exercised and groomed local race horses for their owners.
