The house is illustrated in the \"Roseland Park\" brochure (ca 1925) on page 2, \"Is What You See a Community Where Every Home is the Equal in Beauty of Those Pictured in this Brochure\". Later owned by Charles Chipman \"Chip\" Holton and his wife Gwyneth Elinor Holton. \"Chip\" was a grandson of William Arthur Holton (1863 - 1941), who in 1902 had \"joined forces with Chipman Sons of Easton and New York to establish the Chipman - Holton Knitting Co. Ltd., Hamilton, later one of the largest hosiery manufacturers in North America\" (Dictionary of Hamilton Biography).
