This meant she had to board in town and often did her homework in the Crown Attorney's office in the Milton Gaol, W. I. Dick's office. He thought it quieter for her. She visited New York City was a guest of Dr and Mrs Gowland (Milton) and became friends with the Galbraith, Elliot and Dennys girls. Many of them went to Normal School in Toronto together.
