It was purchased by Albert Unsworth in 1892, then relocated to the rear of his house on his property, now 313 Plains Road West, which he bought in 1882. He converted it into a workshop where women and girls operated knitting machines to make stockings and other garments. According to Dorothy Turcotte's Memories of Pioneer Days, p. 72, the building was moved to a site [this site] on the east side of Unsworth Avenue and is now a residence. Plan 623 was registered by Stanley Mills in 1918. 1923 School Section # 2 roll: Pat Kelly age 44, laborer, and Margaret Kelly age 42, tenants, 4 persons in family, R. C.school supporters. In 1934 / 1935 the north-east part of Lot 6A was sold to Franklin (Frank) Kelly. Winnie Wright, nee Keller, lived next door at 1031 Unsworth Avenue. 519 846 9063 In 1948 to Bill & Dorothy Keller. Bill worked for Burlington Hydro and was the brother of Patrick Keller next door. In 1964 to Raymond & Stella Waldick. ARCHITECTURE: A one-and-a-half-storey frame structure, originally front gabled, on a stone foundation. ENVIRONMENT: USABILITY: INTEGRITY: The structure has been relocated twice. The side wing is an addition, perhaps dating from the 1920s. Later alterations: siding, stone cladding, porch awning.
