Greer. He may have been the son of John Stuart Greer, for whom George Blair built the house at 432 Burlington Avenue in 1885. 1897 Voters List: Stuart Greer (no occupation listed) and George D. Greer (an Agent) are listed under Part III (\"Elections to the Legislative Assemble ONLY\" and Miss Agnes Greer, Spinster, is listed under Part II (\"Municipal Elections ONLY\"), all at Lots 17 and 20 on Burlington Avenue. 1909 Assessment Roll: Miss Agnes Greer, Spinster, and J. H. Emory, N. Fallo(?), Burlington Ave, Plan 74, Lot 17 1910 GOAD Map: written in as xx Caroline West. 1915 Voters List: S. J. Greer, Real Estate, Lots 14, 15 Caroline 1915 Voters List: J. H. Emery [sic], Gent., and Miss A. Greer, Spinster, both Part II only, at Lot 17 Burlington. 1916 Sewerage Works Plan: owned by S. J. Greer. 1917 Telephone Directory: S. J. Greer, a resident on Caroline Street 1919 Voters List: S. J. Greer, Agent, and Mrs Greer, M(arried) W(oman), Part Lots 14, 15. 1924 GOAD Map: 16 Caroline West 1927 Voters List: ARCHITECTURE: A two-and-a-half storey Edwardian vernacular structure clad with brick in a distinctive dichromatic pattern. The front pedimented gable, clad with wooden shingles, curves inward to double windows benath a small shed roof. Compare the identical pediment treatment on 546 Hurd Avenue, around the corner. At the second storey [not at first level too?] there is a slightly projecting large window. All building openings are segmental, with radiating dichromatic brick voussoirs and stone sills. The two large front windows have vertical-mullioned upper panes. The full front verandah has a shed roof with a pedimented gable over the entrance, supported by slender grouped Doric columns on cobblestone bases. ENVIRONMENT: USABILITY: INTEGRITY: Aluminum storm windows. The verandah balustrade and turned post support may be replacements Heritage Award in 1999 for do-it-yourself restoration of the front verandah . including sanding and painting, and rebuilding the front stairs. The inappropriate plastic shutters were removed.
