They had emigrated with their Children and youth Amelia (b. ca 1844) and Christopher from Prussia in the 1850s. Seated right is Mary (nee Wirsching) (1857 - 1925), wife of Christopher (1850 - 1946), standing to the right of her. He was listed as a carriage manufacturer in the 1881 census, a cabinetmaker in the 1891 census, and a machinist in the 1901 census. Standing at the back left are Florence, a dressmaker (1883 - 1948), William, a machinist (b. ca 1873), Christopher Jr (b. 1876) and Edward ( b. 1878). The boys standing in front of them are Frederick (b. 1889), John (b. 1887) and Charles (1884 - 1952). The 3 youngest Children and youth are Minnie (b. 1891), sitting on the grass at left, Norman (b. 1893), sitting in front to the right of his grandmother, and Irene (b. 1895), sitting in the high chair behind the family dog.,A photocopy of an original photograph.
