ARCHITECTURE: A two-storey box-shaped brick building with a hipped roof. Windows are wood 6/6 sash, segmental with radiating voussoirs. Originally the twin of 504 Hurd, also built by Klainka. ENVIRONMENT: Very attractive landscaping adds to the character of the street. The purchasers in 1979 found traces of the old orchard in their back garden: an old pear tree and a cherry tree. USABILITY: INTEGRITY: Replacement shutters. The full front verandah was removed in the 1970s. Duplexed circa 1970 (?); in 1979 reconverted into a single-family residence. Replacement front window and aluminum eaves. Replacement panelled front door has wood moulded header and side lights (circa 1980). A one-story rear brick addition on a concrete block foundation. Good deck at rear. Kitchen window altered and another window at the side bricked in.
