The legal description would be Con 1 SDS, Lot 14, -- according to the Historical Atlas of Halton County in 1877, the property of the Heirs of James Ireland, who was a brother of Joseph Ireland of Oakridge Farms and Farming. George Bell, a son-in-law of Henry Powell, had been a tenant Farms and Farminger near Lowville, at Con 5 NS, Lots 4 and 5, in 1896 and 1899 (Morrey's Business Directory). Laurence Bell (born 1891) was the son of George( born 1860) and Charlotte (nee Powell) (born 1859). In January 2010 a visitor to this site noted that the row of four spruce trees was still standing close to the road. The pond beyond was apparently being used as a skating rink by its residential neighbours."},{"label":"Date","value":"ca 1900"},{"label":"Date (EDTF)","value":"D:00 M:00 Y:1900"},{"label":"Title","value":"Barn raising at Laurence Bell's Farms and Farming on Dundas Street, ca 1900"},{"label":"Repository","value":["Burlington Historical Society"]}],"description":"Barn raising at Laurence Bell's Farms and Farming on Dundas Street, ca 1900","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/133bb277-850e-4e00-9997-2c6aa16fdec7/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"Barn raising at Laurence Bell's Farms and Farming on Dundas Street, ca 1900","height":1156,"width":1600,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/133bb277-850e-4e00-9997-2c6aa16fdec7/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jpeg","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/133bb277-850e-4e00-9997-2c6aa16fdec7","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1156,"width":1600},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/133bb277-850e-4e00-9997-2c6aa16fdec7/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/133bb277-850e-4e00-9997-2c6aa16fdec7/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/133bb277-850e-4e00-9997-2c6aa16fdec7/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/qstarter29/iiif/logo"}
