The cedar roof shingles, the clapboard siding on the porch, the wood frming and windows, and even the plank sidewalk probably came from Nicholson's on the north side of Ontario Street. 18 March 1908 Gazette: \"Mr Jas. Harrison having sold his Lumber and Planing Mill business to Messrs M. Brennan and Sons, of Hamilton ...\" 8 April 1908 Gazette: \"Mr James Harrison has moved into his new office over Mr T. A. LePatourel's drug store. Business change. Mr Allan S. Nicholson, of Waterdown, has purchased the James Harrison lumber and planing mill business from Messrs Brennan and Sons, of Hamilton... \" 9 December 1908 Gazette: \"Work is progressing rapidly on Mr Homer's new house on Nelson avenue.\" Alf Homer was a machinist, most likely working at the Nicholson lumber yard. He married Tom LePatourel's daughter Mary in June 1909.
