In 1903 the property of J. J. Filman (Imperial Atlas). ARCHITECTURE: T A two-and-a half-storey structure clad with stretcher-bond brick, in a Craftsman Style reminscent of Lakehurst Villa. The high-pitched truncated hipped roof has an offset projecting gable with sweeping belcast roof, a low dormer window, and high chimneys on either side. All windows are wood sash with shutters and red awnings, soldier brick course headers and projecting brick sills. The front bay window has a metal hipped roof with diamond-paned leaded windows. The front door has an elliptical head with stone moulded trim and quoins and small narrow windows on either side. A projecting gable above the front door is clad with stucco and is supported by large wooden brackets. Large rain heads and down pipes frame the front entrance. ENVIRONMENT: Situated on a large site with mature trees and overlooking the bay. Set back from the road.
