The house was built in 1910 for Jim Coleman, the brother of Charles and A. B. Coleman, whose large frame houses ,\"the Gingerbread house\" and \"Idlewyd\", stood on large properties on Ontario Street, east and west of Hager Avenue. 16 November 1910 Gazette announced : \"Mr James Coleman has commenced the erection of a new brick house on Hager avenue, Wellington Park.\" In 1920, Fred Blessinger sold his Farms and Farming on Maple Avenue to M. M. Robinson and moved \"to Burlington\" with his wife Ina and two daughters, to be near his parents, who had retired to 552 Locust Street.
