Following the design of Herbert Heywood, instructor in art, and under the supervision of Brother Eugene [O’Brien], C.S.C., the old furnishings were removed from the chapel. After installation of steel I-beams and pillars, the room was redecorated in light colors…with new maple, gumwood and walnut altars already placed in the chapel.
