This second exposition attracted some 18,000 visitors. Its highlight was the first locally-originating television, broadcast from campus and managed and directed by students. A portable television studio with four tons of equipment was brought to campus by RCA and Northwest Airlines. Also, some twenty-four Portland industrial firms displayed their wares and five companies exhibited their products in a \"mechanized rodeo\" demonstration of mobile equipment. This event was a notable way of integrating the University into the life of the city of Portland.
