Hunt and lovingly named for his wife, Mago Hunt. After the April 18, 1969 fire on campus which destroyed Education and Music Halls, the University began a campaign to build new facilities for its Communications, Fine Arts, and Music programs. With William Hunt's support, the University completed its first ever building on campus designed specifically for theatrical productions. Designed by Architects Boles, Maguire and Hoch, the performing arts center has separate facilities for dramatic and musical performances, practice rooms, recording studio, set design and construction room, costume design laboratory, and offices for faculty.
