E. William Beauchamp, C.S.C., as it was for earlier presidents.  A generous gift from Fred and Suzanne (Schoenfeldt) Fields made the University's ninth and tenth residence halls possible. Adding a total of 310 beds to campus, the two halls share a common entrance foyer, chapel, indoor bicycle parking, fitness room, private patio, basketball and sand-volleyball courts, and a \"living roof\" to conserve energy. Both halls are also LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified and feature solar photovoltaic and solar hot water panels, regionally sourced materials, environmentally responsible paints, and high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and cooling systems. The edifice is fronted with nearly an acre of grass for sports and studying.
