Theodore Mehling, C.S.C. but it was never revived.\" ...over a forty-eight year period, the school played 320 recorded games, wining 150, losing 136 and tying 34. But in the last fifteen seasons when the University attempted to go 'big time,' the record was 34-55-6.\" (James T. Covert, Point of Pride, p.161) \"Some students, showing their disappointment or disgust, buried a football in funeral-like ceremony somewhere on campus. Where?  No one seems to remember.
