Architect: A. Lawrence Kocher. The building was constructed by the students and faculty of Black Mountain College from 1940-1941. When the college purchased land nearby to the Blue Ridge campus, the work program was expanded to include the construction of college buildings and the maintenance of an inn and farm on the Lake Eden property.
