Col. E.. Cope, Engineer. S.H. Hammond's name also appeared on the map as the assistant engineer. The map indicates where military leaders died or were wounded, such as Gen. Kemper, Gen. Garnett, and Gen. Armistead and the positions of Union and Confederate troops.
