The second and third documents are apprentice indentures of two orphans, Jane McIntyre and Margaret McIntyre, to Janet Printice for them to learn the “art and trade of a spinster”. The Shaw family were Scottish immigrants, enslavers, and loyalists with a plantation in Cumberland County and smaller tracts of land in the surrounding counties.
