The letter is dated August 24, 1863 and describes the Battle of Gettysburg, and the three rolls are undated.  The manuscripts are as follows:  (1) Letter, Aug. 24, 1863, James I. Harris. Camp near Orange C.H., Va., to \"Dear friend Burton\" describing the Battle of Gettysburg. 20 pages on 10 leaves.  (2) \"Conscript assigned to the 30th Regt. N.C. Troops by order Capt. McMillan\"; complete in one sheet (front and back).  (3) \"Roll of Co. I,, 30th N.C. Troops, Commanded by Col. F. M. Parker\"., complete in one sheet (front and back)  (4) An untitled roll of Company I, 30th Regt., N.C.
