Civil War letters are from John G. Hall, Co. G, 51st Regt. NCT, fighting along the James River and at Cold Harbor (May-June, 1864) and seeking transfer to Invalid Corps; and from other soldiers fighting near Fredericksburg (May, 1862) and in Arkansas (Feb., 1863).
