Harper, Jr. (1865-1944), superintendent of Raleigh public schools (1907-1918), include typed copies of job recommendations (n.d.); copy of resolutions passed by Raleigh teachers on his resignation; minutes of first meeting of the Raleigh History Club (1927); letters and clippings about his work as insurance agent; obituaries for Harper, and for son-in-law Vance Jerome of Greensboro (1941); genealogical and biographical information on Harper; and photographs relating to Harper and the Raleigh schools. Also postcard (1911) and letter (1959) from Frank Porter Graham, the latter on the death of his cousin Clara (Mrs. F. M.
