Dr. James William McGee, Sr. Born 15 March 1839 in Duplin County, NC died 1909, Raleigh, NC; was a doctor at Peace College during Civil War; in 1879 was physician to the Methodist Orphanage from its founding until his death.  Upon his death, his son, Dr. James William McGee, Jr., took over his duties with the Methodist Orphanage. (Copy negative is N.2009.5.1).
