Photocopies include guardian's permission for marriage of Frances Penn to John Hunt (Granville Co., 1771), list of goods sent North Carolina prisoners of war in South Carolina (1780), Penn's will and codicils (1784), memorandums to Granville Co. Clerk of Court Reuben Searcy about various lawsuits (1784-1787), a Granville Co. ordinary bond (1785), and a deed of gift (1788) from Penn to son William for land in Granville Co. Also an unidentified lawyer's account book (previously ascribed to John Penn) recording travels to courts in Rowan, Mecklenburg, Tryon, Anson, and Orange counties (1769-1770) and accounts with clients and with Col.
