Alston, a Raleigh Negro, writing from front lines in France, 1918 (extract). Other papers include a large number of receipted bills (mostly 1896-1910) from Raleigh merchants, landlord, doctors, teachers, local government, funeral directors (1888), newspapers, and brother C. S. Brimley; certificate awarded Brimley at the World Columbian Exposition (1894); notes on cataloging system for his library and Department of Agriculture expansion (1875-1899); his radio talk on \"Old Time Whaling in North Carolina\"; and typescript (1948) of H. H. Brimley, North Carolina Naturalist: Selections from his Writings, by Eugene P.
