Bruner describes his career at the post office, the military, and his most recent job at Call for Action. This interview was conducted by B. Bernetiae Reed on October 6, 1942,for the South Benbow Road National Register of Historic Places Nomination and in collaboration with the City of Greensboro Historic Planning Office. South Benbow Road is a historically Black neighborhood in Greensboro, North Carolina and this project helps preserve the neighborhood and city’s history through the voices of its residents. The Oral History collection contains interviews conducted and acquired by the Oral History Unit of the State Archives of North Carolina.
