Letters include 24 from Woodrow Wilson (1915-1922) requesting Pou's help in expediting neutral and wartime legislation and also commenting on resolution to restrict travel on armed merchantmen (1916), the Mexican situation (1916), woman suffrage, the draft, the railroads (1918), and danger from pro-German attitudes in Mexican oil district (1918). Other letters are from Pou's son Edwin, pilot at U.S. Naval Air Station, Finisterre, France (1918); cabinet officers Josephus Daniels, William G. McAdoo, and Franklin K. Lane; Congressmen Champ Clark (1919) and Edward E. Cox (1933); Joseph P. Tumulty; Mrs. John Nance Garner; George Creel; Ohio Gov. George White; Warren G. Harding; Herbert Hoover about the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (1932); and Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt about politics and friendship (1931-1933).
