His other papers include slave bill of sale (1834), Confederate bonds, and postwar letters about Texas and land near Norfolk, Va. Papers relating to Henry Adams, for whom Phillips was executor, include Edgecombe Co. land grant (1811), deeds, accounts, letter from son in Tennessee (1854), and estate papers (1866), as well as copied will of John Adams (Halifax Co., 1797) and guardian account for Zilpha Braswell (ca. 1808). Among miscellaneous items are Edgecombe Co. deeds (1807-1818) involving heirs of William Linch; estate papers of Charles Hardy (1828) and Priscilla Hare (1850-1851); and an issue of the SOUTHERNER (Tarboro), June 25, 1864."},{"label":"Digital Characteristics","value":"1 page"},{"label":"Format","value":["Finding aids"]},{"label":"Rights","value":"The SA of NC considers this item in the public domain by U.S. law but responsibility for permissions rests with researchers."},{"label":"Source Collections","value":["James J.
