She plans on traveling to Wilmington on Tuesday to get shoes, although she hates to spend the money. After she returns she plans to try to visit John if the regiment is still in the same place. She wants to know if he has enough clothes, sleeps well and whether he needs any more socks. She writes about the death of one of John Futch's brothers, William, as well as where he was buried and who will preach the service.
