Loose letters and papers about the company include leave requests; pay certificates; copies of letters to widows about death of husbands or procedure for filing claims (1863, 1864); and later letters (1900-1915) concerning pension applications, and postwar history of company members such as the Hoyle brothers of Cleveland Co.
