Johnson at the Burlington Rayon Mill. One photo is a length view of Miss Eleonor Ruth Mitscherling in a riding outfit; the other depicts Miss Mitscherling in the same outfit standing in a field with a horse. She appears to be in her teens. The photos were said to have been given to Johnson as a gift. They came from Johnson's home in Chicago, where he was president of a powerful insurance company, when he moved to California in the 1930's. Johnson had built and was the owner of \"Scotty's Castle\" in Death Valley."},{"label":"Digital Characteristics","value":"1 page"},{"label":"Format","value":["Finding aids"]},{"label":"Rights","value":"The SA of NC considers this item in the public domain by U.S. law but responsibility for permissions rests with researchers."},{"label":"Source Collections","value":["Eleonor Ruth Mitscherling Photograph Collection.
