Art society material includes minutes of its organization by members of the Fine Arts Club (Dec. 5-6, 1924), correspondence about planned activities and art museums, and list of award winners in art of the state fair (n.d.). Relating to Springfield Memorial Quaker Church are a blueprint and correspondence with its architect Herbert Hunter. Material on city beautification includes letters, minutes of the Raleigh City Park Commission (Apr. 15, 1925), bulletins, programs, clippings, and map of suggested park in Greensboro. Other letters concern forest conservation, world tours, bathing beauty contests (Wrightsville Beach), Charlotte Speedway, Raleigh Civitan Club, Confederate history, and life of a cub reporter in New York. There are also descriptions of Forsyth Co., Hillsborough, and the supreme court building in Raleigh and a membership list of Raleigh Natural History Club. Correspondents include Katherine P. Arrington, J. Melville Broughton, Raymond Ellis, R. B. House, Raymond Hunt, David Ten Eyck Huyek, Elizabeth Mitchell, Ruth Huntington Moore, David G.
