Other Civil War letters include those from Peter Cross, Co. F, 7th Regt. NCT, at Petersburg and hunting deserters in Randolph Co. (1863-1865); from W. M. Wright defending Charleston, S.C. (1863); and from J. L. Wright, 2nd Regt. Sr. Reserves, sent to Greensboro to fight \"Holdenites\" (1864). Also agreement on payment for slaves (1835); Wilkes Co. land grant to John L. Wright (1840); character certificate for J. W. Wright as loyal Southerner (1861); and list of company of Capt. John Combs (1862).    Note that one letter includes a sketch of the the execution site of two deserters, located at Orange Court House, Virginia.
