Martha writes that the baby is still sick. She has not gotten a letter from Francis in four weeks and is nervous about him. Henrietta claims that their hogs are hers and is threatening to take them or kill the hogs in the woods. The weather has been nice but cold. She lists soldiers who have come home on leave, reminds him that if he could come home as they do it would be a help to her, and remarks on a recent marriage. Union soldiers have been through the area; she has heard that North Carolina will soon fall to the Yankees and that South Carolina will follow soon after. Martha wishes Francis would home to take care of her since it looks like crops will be weak this year."},{"label":"Identifier","value":"PC_1825_Poteet_Dickson_Letters_18640218"}],"description":"Letter: Martha Hendley Poteet to Francis Marion Poteet, Feb. 18, 1864","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/0ebd2c38-c243-486c-bcc2-692d6cc36e60/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"PC_1825_Poteet_Dickson_Letters_18640218_001","height":1949,"width":1072,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/f418a3a7-91c2-4a51-b289-0ca906002f4a/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jp2","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/f418a3a7-91c2-4a51-b289-0ca906002f4a","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1949,"width":1072},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/0ebd2c38-c243-486c-bcc2-692d6cc36e60/canvas/_1","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/f418a3a7-91c2-4a51-b289-0ca906002f4a/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}},{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/0ebd2c38-c243-486c-bcc2-692d6cc36e60/canvas/_2","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"PC_1825_Poteet_Dickson_Letters_18640218_002","height":1950,"width":1066,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/2cd41a4c-596b-4a7e-b75d-105c0b6f69e6/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/jp2","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/2cd41a4c-596b-4a7e-b75d-105c0b6f69e6","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":512,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":1950,"width":1066},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/0ebd2c38-c243-486c-bcc2-692d6cc36e60/canvas/_2","metadata":[]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/2cd41a4c-596b-4a7e-b75d-105c0b6f69e6/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/f418a3a7-91c2-4a51-b289-0ca906002f4a/full/300,300/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/ncdcr/iiif/logo"}
