Topics include desertions (1776), draft and reen- listments (1778-1783), provisions and arms, transportation, plans and orders, relationships between the Continental Line and the militia (1781), reorganization of officers (1782), and inflation (1783). Also in- cluded are notes on courts of enquiry into disputes over rank and over discharge eligibility claimed by soldiers of the 3rd N.C Battalion (1777); a report on meeting of North Carolina Virginia officers in Surry Co.
