[Liddin?], Letter."},{"label":"Location","value":"Mary Riley Styles Public Library Local History Collection|Digital Archives"},{"label":"Notes","value":"Marmaduke Johnson (1825-1871) was a delegate to the Virginia Secession Convention in 1861 and a Virginia Battery Captain in Major William Nelson's Battalion.\n\nThese Civil War letters, diaries, and miscellaneous documents are from the personal collection of David Snyder, a long-time City of Falls Church resident and member of City Council. In 2019, Mr. Snyder loaned his collection to the Mary Riley Styles Public Library and the Falls Church Historical Commission so it could be digitized and eventually posted online for public access. Transcriptions for items in the collection were later generated using volunteers through the Library of Virginia.
