Extraordinary Revelation!!\nWarns electors of Orkney and Shetland about the candidate standing against 'their well known countryman Mr Laing'- Sir Peter Tait. Discredits him on grounds of his standing as a Candidate for Limerick in 1871 on Irish Home Rule Principles, and his support of 'Fenianism'.  Asks Orcadians and Shetlanders if they will support such a man, stating they 'surely value their integrity too highly for that'.  Urges those, especially clergymen, committed to 'Home Ruler's support' to consider their position for the sake of public morality.  Questions how Sir Peter Tait, knighted by a Tory Government, and who donated 100 to a Roman Catholic Church and only 5 pounds to an independent chapel, can now come to Orkney as a Champion of Religious Liberty.  Asserts that his supporters will one day be 'heartily ashamed' of their intercourse with the 'extraordinary and vacillating individual'.
