No blessing can be expected for a system that legalizes vice and protects vicious men at the expense of their countrymen. The first step to diminishing prostitution is to get rid of these cruel Acts which Mr Lewis so strenuously supports. It is easy for Dr Acland to speak in generalities - 'let him come forward and meet a brother Doctor whose opinions are diametrically opposite to his own!' As the University has kept out the Election, let him follow the example and forbear to interfere with the free votes of free citizens.
