Mexico  Dear brother:  I received your letter of May 8th by which I know that you never received the letter containing a  money order for Mr. Hanon and a letter for Mr. Padilla as well as some instructions for you  related to the business matter.  I had not answered expecting to hear that you had received said letter but now I know it never  happened.  Today I once again send you a letter for don Gabriel and a promissory note for don Elías Hanon.  If don Elías, to whom I owe more than I do to don Gabriel, I would like it to be settled with the  goods that are with don Nacho, and for don Gabriel perhaps it would be better with the ones that  are with Lebre. But either way, the important thing is to put an end to this matter that has now  become so drawn out.  I received a letter from Soledad on the 13th of the month and she sends you her regards.  I am glad that the boy [Alfonso] is all right. May God help him.  Many regards to my dad and mom and to all of you affectionately receive greetings from Lola,  the boys and your brother who doesn't forget you.  Miguel.  P.S. If Mr. Elías believes the promissory note is not in order, tell him to please send me some  kind of document for me to sign.
