México  My dear father:  With no letter from you to refer to I write this one to serve as a greeting and at the same time to  ask you the following: Trino Álvarez was telling me he wants to send a sewing machine to  Mexico for his wife's sister. I then proposed to him that we make an exchange, because we need  a machine here. We have already seen this one and find it acceptable, so now what is needed is  for the lady over there to see and accept that one. So I beg you to please show her the sewing  machine so they can decide if an exchange is possible.  We are in good health thanks be to God, and we hope all is well with all of you as well.  We await your response and the news of your new address,  I remain as always your son who asks for your blessing.
