Born in 1893 in Tucson, Arizona, he worked on cattle ranches before being discovered by film scouts. He appeared in many notable Western films beginning in 1929, and perhaps was most well known for his role as \"Pancho\" in The Cisco Kid (1931), until he passed away of a heart attack in 1953 in Montebello, California at the age of 59.
