February 25, 1930 Mr. Francisco Venegas Guadalajara, Jal. My dear brother: I have your letter dated the 17th of the present month. I will begin by saying that your idea of selling those things is a good one even if sold at a lower price and see if with it [proceeds] Bacilio can be paid what he is owed, although frankly speaking I no longer remember after so much has happened. You can tell him on my part that for now we will pay him the principal and interest only for the time that the store was in business. I don't believe this is an injustice because even the banks do not pay more than what they can when they go bankrupt. Furthermore, what happened was the fault of the times and not ours. I also have an idea that interest was being collected from time to time, I'm not sure but it showed up on his account. About the 6th of last month I sent you some photos, one of which is for the Dávila family. I want to know if you have received them otherwise I will file a claim because something else was included with them. Don't cut off the letterhead on the paper when you write to me, because I would like to see it whole. If you see Don Nacho, give him my regards, tell him not to be so dull, to come up here, that he will never be sorry. That it doesn't cost as much as people say. We regret very much that Lucita is no longer staying with you. My regards to the Dávila family and from Lola to Anita in a very special way. Our most affectionate regards to our parents and brothers and sisters. Affectionately, Miguel"},{"label":"Is Part Of","value":"Venegas Family Papers, Collection Number 99, Series 1. Subseries A.
