The new Venice Dance Hall was designed by architect Lawrence Furniss.  Its dance floor could accommodate 800 couples, and there were loges for spectators. \"The Bobs\" was a twister style roller coaster designed by Frederick Church and Harry Traver.  In 1946 the city council decided to tear down the Venice pier.
