The new Venice Dance Hall was designed by architect Lawrence Furniss. Its dance floor could accommodate 800 couples, and there were loges for spectators. In 1946 the city council decided to tear down the Venice pier. The pier was slowly demolished, and what was not demolished by 1946 was destroyed by a fire in 1947."},{"label":"Language","value":"eng"},{"label":"Publisher","value":"Los Angeles, Cal.: Western Publishing & Novelty Co.; Theo.
