Mexico  My dear brother:  I received your letter dated the 29th of last month that brought me felicitations from all of you on  the occasion of my feast day. How much more I would have liked to have spent that day in the  company of all of you. Nevertheless it gives me moments of true happiness upon thinking that  very soon I could be with you for at least a few days. What would my dad think of me taking a  short trip to that one this December? They say that the fares are going to come down a lot and  perhaps I would be able to take a short trip.  It pleases me very much to know that you finally established your business and that it is  progressing well. I hope it continues this way and that very soon you can enjoy what can be  obtained through your work and perseverance and when one counts on God's will.  By what you tell me I see that the illness doesn't leave our mother in peace. I imagine that,  perhaps if it was possible to bring her to this country, she would get well, because there are very  good sanatoriums and good medical help, but I see this as very problematic.  A while back I wrote to Don Silviano Dávalos proposing that he buy the houses in Zapotlanejo  and he answered me that he would prefer that the Martinez gentlemen take possession of them  first and then he would see what could be done. So it would be a good thing for those gentlemen  to talk to him directly and I on the other hand will try to persuade him suggesting that he will not  lose on them because perhaps I myself will be able to buy them at a later date.  With nothing more for now and thanking you for the inconvenience that this matter will cause  you, and with our affectionate regards for our parents and all of our brothers and sisters, your  brother who loves you says good-bye.
