Voter registration lists from Inyo County record an Edwin H. Ober as a game warden in Big Pine, California, in 1922, and in 1926 his profession is given as \"fish culture.\" A Mrs. Peachey Ober, undoubtedly his wife, is listed as a housewife. She is still cited as living in Big Pine in 1928, but her husband is no longer found on the voter rolls. Austin Ober is recorded as a voting resident in Big Pine in 1922 but disappears after that; his occupation was clerk. He may have died in Orange County in 1957. Biographical information on the other persons in the photograph is lacking, although \"the cook\" appears to be Chinese, and \"Porte Jack\" and \"Nettie\" are undoubtedly Paiutes, the resident Native Americans in the Owens Valley."},{"label":"Source","value":"Center for the Study of Los Angeles Research Collection, Loyola Marymount University"},{"label":"Date Range","value":"circa 1900"},{"label":"Type","value":["Photographs"]},{"label":"Rights","value":"https://library.lmu.edu/archivesandspecialcollections/copyrightandreproductionpolicy/"},{"label":"Location","value":["Big Pine (Calif.)"]}],"description":"Big Pine, California Residents","sequences":[{"@type":"sc:Sequence","canvases":[{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/7c297170-d166-4cfb-b746-45a560d74d89/canvas/_1","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"LML_CSLA-15-001020001","height":6336,"width":7299,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/2429eb7a-206f-417d-9e0c-6363e88ecbf1/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/tif","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/2429eb7a-206f-417d-9e0c-6363e88ecbf1","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":2048,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":6336,"width":7299},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/7c297170-d166-4cfb-b746-45a560d74d89/canvas/_1","metadata":[{"label":"Digital Identifier","value":"LML_CSLA-15-001020001"},{"label":"Object identifier","value":"LML_CSLA-15-00102"},{"label":"Title","value":"Front"}]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/2429eb7a-206f-417d-9e0c-6363e88ecbf1/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}},{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/7c297170-d166-4cfb-b746-45a560d74d89/canvas/_2","@type":"sc:Canvas","label":"LML_CSLA-15-001020002","height":7532,"width":6155,"images":[{"@type":"oa:Annotation","motivation":"sc:painting","resource":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/1ed2af90-dc5c-497e-a451-783d2e000550/full/full/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","format":"image/tif","service":{"@context":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/context.json","@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/1ed2af90-dc5c-497e-a451-783d2e000550","profile":"http://iiif.io/api/image/2/level2.json","tiles":[{"width":2048,"scaleFactors":[1,2,4]}]},"height":7532,"width":6155},"on":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/7c297170-d166-4cfb-b746-45a560d74d89/canvas/_2","metadata":[{"label":"Digital Identifier","value":"LML_CSLA-15-001020002"},{"label":"Object identifier","value":"LML_CSLA-15-00102"},{"label":"Title","value":"Back"}]}],"thumbnail":{"@id":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/1ed2af90-dc5c-497e-a451-783d2e000550/full/500,500/0/default.jpg","@type":"dctypes:Image","height":500,"width":500}}]}],"thumbnail":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/2429eb7a-206f-417d-9e0c-6363e88ecbf1/full/300,300/0/default.jpg","logo":"https://iiif.quartexcollections.com/lmudigitalcollections/iiif/logo"}
